Who is Micheal de Montaigne?
Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592) was a French writer, philosopher, and statesman, best known for his collection of essays called “Essais” (Essays).
Montaigne was born into a wealthy family in France and received a humanist education in his youth. He studied law and served as a magistrate in Bordeaux, but he resigned from his position to devote himself to writing and contemplation.
